Nikola Tesla, The Visionary: When Genius Meets the Supernatural

“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena; it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”
― Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla had the uncanny ability to “see” 3D images in his mind. And then with miraculous precision, he was able to bring these images into a tangible world, a world that more than a century later has benefitted or more appropriately described–exists because of his inventions.
The Serbian American inventor and engineer discovered and patented the rotating magnetic field that controls alternating current, the foundation of today’s electrical system. He also gifted us the remote control, laser beams, radio, x-rays, neon and fluorescent lights, robotics and invented a multitude of other technologies that we enjoy today through wireless communication.
I remember reading about Tesla’s “flashes of insight” and immediately thinking the word “clairvoyance”. Although clairvoyance is most often associated with psychic ability, the term is defined as–the ability to gain information about an object, person, location, or physical event through extrasensory perception. And this led me to consider that Tesla was more than a scientist and inventor. Yes, he was extraordinary, something beyond genius.
After weeks of research, I discovered other fascinating facts about the inventor that further substantiated my conclusion–
Nikola Tesla was predestined to change the world.
His birth was not happenstance. No, I believe Tesla was preordained to give the world “light” and future technologies that have now shaped a global culture in ways we could have never fathomed. Consider for a moment what life might be like today if Tesla had never lived. And while you’re contemplating the possibilities of a world without him, take a look at these other icons whose birth set off phenomenal change that spread all across the globe.
