Did you know that the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest during this time of year? Indeed, spiritualists report that Halloween is perhaps the spookiest day of the year since spirits come and go at will on this magical day!
Having lived in numerous haunted houses during my lifetime, I have to say that some ghosts are active year-round which makes me wonder…How does anyone sleep peacefully at the White House with ghosts wandering the halls of the nation’s oldest mansion?
You may have heard that the White House is haunted and if you believe it, you’re in good company with paranormal witnesses and several former presidents who claim they have witnessed the likes of their ghostly predecessors. To plead their case, I’ll share a few claims of paranormal activity at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
On a quiet and somber night in 1946, President Harry Truman settled into bed only to be awakened some six hours later by knocks on his bedroom door. He quickly rose from his bed, slipped on his robe, and rushed to answer the door but found no one there.
