Why Are So Many UFO Sightings in California?
The Geography of Alien Bases and Where to Find Them
Although there are more than 10,000 UFO sightings each year in the USA, you may be one of many who hasn’t witnessed a round or triangular-shaped object hovering in mid-air. But if you’re eager to add yourself to the list of eyewitnesses, you may want to travel to California if you don’t already live there.
California holds the top spot in the nation for the most UFO sightings. In fact, the state has held this rank for decades. The National UFO Reporting Center claims that Californians reported almost 16,000 UFO sightings from 2001 to 2015. And the areas with the most sightings included Northern California, San Francisco, and San Diego. But the winner for the most reported UFO sightings of all time in California goes to Los Angeles with over 3,200 eyewitness accounts.
What’s really going on in these areas and what do they all have in common?
